We work with both imported and Australian-sourced materials, all carefully selected for their performance, consistency, and suitability to a range of hemp building methods—from cast-in-place to mechanical spray application.

Founder: Andrew Kavasilas
Hempscape was founded by Andrew Kavasilas, one of Australia’s longest-standing advocates for hemp cultivation and natural building.
Andrew began growing industrial hemp under permit in the late 1990s, and has since played a leading role in hemp policy reform, product development, and regional supply. He was instrumental in legalising hemp seed food in Australia and continues to advocate for access to other parts of the plant—including leaves, sprouts, and roots.
With deep roots in both cultivation and construction, Andrew brings more than 20 years of hands-on experience to Hempscape. His work combines scientific insight, field-tested knowledge, and a commitment to making regenerative materials a real option for the Australian built environment.
